Year 2
We have two special helpers each day. It is their job to take the register to the office, collect the milk and give out fruit. They also hold doors open, lead and guard the line and are sent on special errands.
We have an eco – monitor every day who is responsible for switching off lights when no-one is in the classroom, putting paper to be recycled and turning off the computers and whiteboard at the end of the day.
Every day we have a football monitor who takes out and brings in our class football.
Every morning and afternoon we start with 5 minutes of exercise to pop music called ‘Wake and Shake’. We really enjoy moving to the music and keeping fit. It also helps to focus our minds ready to learn.
We keep our water bottles on our tables so we can drink from them at anytime. Drinking water regularly keeps our brains active and working well.
We go swimming on Mondays and enjoy PE on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We love collecting stamps in our Rainbow Award booklets which leads to badges, certificates, book marks and even a rosette! We also have Golden Time on Fridays. We have made up Golden Rules which makes our class a nice place. We try really hard to keep our golden rules. If we keep them our names stay on the golden sunshine, if we break a rule our name gets put on the cloud – you can get your name back on the sun again if you try hard.
