Grand opening of the new classrooms

After what has seemed an eternity the new classrooms were officially opened by Councillor Phyllis Gay on January 30th 2006. Here are some of the photographs some of our own school councillors took at the opening. Unfortunately they missed the actyal ribbon cutting; and when asked why; the answer was that they were all in the official photograph taken by the local press! The photographs taken show Concillor Gay with the children, receiving a bouquet of flowers. Another is the chair of governors, Mr Ron Stewart, with the scissors and children and the other photos show invited guests who had been instrumental in the building of the classrooms, including the contractors.
