On this page I have put in some extracts from the log book from 1961 when Mrs Lynes became Head until the end of 1969. I have also put in order a few facts that I have gleamed from reading these logs which can be found in our school library.

1961 - there were 32 children on roll 1964 - June 1st: School uniform began and was red 1965 - Feb - School opening times were changed 1966 - June - First time school represented at annual Athletics 1966 - July 10th - Official opening of Westfield County Primary School (until then it had been classed as an infant school). 1967 - Spring - now 220 children at the school (by 1969 this was 284).
