This is our teacher Mrs Chaudhuri
Year 6
It’s fun being in Falcon Class, although we have lots of learning and preparation for our SATs in May. We like to think that we play hard as well as work hard!!
Our homework has increased but helps us to learn and obtain higher levels, preparing us for our all important transfer to Secondary School.
PE
We have PE on a Monday with Mr Evans and then dance/gymnastics on a Friday so we must make sure we bring in our PE kit on these days. We are lucky enough to have external coaching opportunities at different times during the school year.
Rewards
We earn rainbow rewards/merits if we do good work and try hard with our learning. We can also get house points for good behaviour, good manners, sporting achievements and representing our school positively. We celebrate our rewards and achievements weekly in celebration assembly and with visits to the good book.
In Year 6 we have extra responsibilities as well as representing the school ion many different sporting, dance, drama and academic achievements. We are buddies at lunchtime in other classes and we take it in turns to work in the office by answering the telephone (it can sometimes be scary!) but we like it as there is chocolate to eat, being in charge of music, helping organise events and showing people around the school.
There are 4 houses in the school Yeo, Avon, Somer and Frome. As part of Year 6 responsibilities we can put ourselves forward to be elected as the House Captains and Vice Captains.
Trips
After our SATS we are going on a residential trip to the Forest of Dean for a week. We are all looking forward to the different activities including high ropes, caving, climbing, canoeing and team building activities. We can’t wait.
