Year 6

Eagle class is a very responsible, helpful class!

Rewards

We have Rainbow Awards which we earn by good work.  10 merits = red, 20 merits = orange, 30 merits = yellow.

We have four houses, Avon, Somer, Yeo and Frome and we can earn house points for good behaviour, good manners, sports achievements and representing our school positively.

PE – is on a Monday with Mr Evans and this is usually outdoors (even if it’s raining) and we do a variety of sports.  In Eagle class we really appreciate this time.  We have rounders / gymnastics on a Friday.  We don’t swim unless it is a special occasion.

Homework – we have a lot of homework in Year 6 to help us gain knowledge and prepare us for our SATS.  This includes practise SATS.

Trips – Occasionally we set off on school trips.  We also go on a Year 6 camp to the Forest of Dean after our SATS.

Our School Golden Rules are:

• Do be gentle.
• Do be kind and helpful.
• Do look after property.
• Do listen to people.
• Do be honest.

In Year 6 we have extra responsibilities. We are class buddies in other years at lunchtime.  We can be elected as House Captains as well.

We have first class equipment in our classroom including an interactive whiteboard and 3 classroom computers.  Sometimes we use laptops as well as the ICT Suite. ICT is a really entertaining experience.
