Year 4
In Dragonfly class we try to work hard and have fun and be friends together. We work very hard to get our Rainbow awards. Our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Linham.
We get awards for hard work and behaving well. We also have a ‘Chance Box’. Very often we get house points for being good too. The houses are called Frome, Somer, Avon and Yeo. If we have a problem we can talk to our teacher, or tell our School Councillor. Our School Councillors are Scarlet and Jed. We also have a ‘Grins and Grumbles’ box to write in.
Our Golden Rules are:
- Do try your best;
- Do be kind and helpful;
- Do be gentle;
- Do be honest;
- Do listen to other people;
- Do look after property.
In Dragonfly class we always try to keep to the rules. At the start of the year Mrs Plaxton went through the Golden Rules to help us learn them.
We learn lots of subjects and enjoy them all. We enjoy doing numeracy activities and we love learning new things.
PE – we have Games with Mr Evans and learn about football, basketball, netball, hockey and swimming. In our class most of the boys like football, but most of the girls like swimming. We think Games is great and we enjoy gymnastics.
Discussing with Class – In Dragonfly class we have lots of great ideas, which we always tell to the class and then we discuss them.
We have a class mascot called ‘Branston’. He goes home with one of the Dragonflies every weekend and we write about his adventures in his diary.
The Tudor Surgeon visited year4 in October 2008. Here are some photographs of the day.
