Schools Swimming Gala 18/11/09. A BIG thank you to Mr Evans and his team for organising and running this event, what an exciting afternoon. Well done Westfield for coming runners up to a very good Paulton team.
A great achievment for the Westfield Girls team by beating the 1998 Freestyle Relay record, a proud moment for Mr Evans and Westfield School. .

hello its luke grant im at nortonhill school sat in bussiness studies bored ment to be doing course work but thought id leave a coment on here i miss that school and mr evans is a ledgend such good teacher (:

hi i went to westfield primary school years ago, i started in 1993 and left early in year 6 to come to great yarmouth, cant believe that mr evans is still there he was the best teacher i have every had in the 3 schools i have been to. i`m now 21 with a son who is nearly 3 and its seems like only yesterday that i was sat on mr evans`s sofa listening to his storys, and yet my son will be going to school himself in 2 years. if mr evans remembers me would love to hear from him, i had a brother called micheal who was 2years below me and a cousin called emily russel who was the year below her mum tracey worked at the school helping out so that might jog his memory if he cant remember me. westfield was my fave school ever!!!

Miss Laura Samuels is the best teacher in the Universe she makes my learning so much easier and I enjoy school so much. Its fun in her class and she is really funny but I still get my work done and she encourages me to work harder.

I'm going into Year 9 at Norton Hill in September, and I'm so excited!

When I first went into Year 7 at Norton Hill, I was convinced that I wasn't going to enjoy myself as much as I'd done at Westfield ; but it's actually been amazing! But Westfield will always be my favourite :)

I cant wait for year 2 with miss webster and with miss ball.

I have just been looking at the netball team for 1978. I played goal defence and had a great time with Mrs Cobbe, she was a great teacher. Back row is Sara Christer, Katie Woods, Mrs Cobbe, Joanne Withers (me) and Vicky ???. Front row is Nicola Wyatt, Becky Wiltshire, Lorraine Selway, Jenny Smart, Tonia Gentle and Alison Peek. My son Josh Pawley is in Miss Larcombes class 3L. He is a good all round sportsman but don't think he will follow in my footsteps in to the netball team!!! I loved Westfield and would love to see more old photo's. x

man i miss this school sooooo much i wish i was back there. i am in yr 10 now GCSE'S, i miss mr Evans, he was a legend and all the other teachers were as well.

Westfield is great you get lots of new friends and get really good teachers. But when you leave you will want to come back.

at westfield it is great. we are going on school camp.my friends are scarlet beth and anissa.my teacher is mrs plaxton,who teaches in dragonfly class. she is an amazing teacher i can not wait to go on school camp

It is great to see the picture of the Football League and Cup winners 1979 - which I was in of course! There was another picture of the team in the Somerset Guardian dated 16th April 2009. The people in the photo are from left to right front row : K Nicholas, Kevin Bridges, ?, Jeremy Appleyard, Martin James, Richard Jones then back row from right to left is Kevin Presley, Jeffrey Hayward, Lance Witcombe, Tom Ashwin, Nigel Daniels, Nigel Henderson, John Parsons, Lee Parfitt (me)
Glad to see Mr Evans (Jim) still doing sports. Watch out for my son Kieran currently in Year two, he takes after his Dad!

its Holly in year 6 and i think that westfield is a very good place to get the first taste of learning!
When i leave Westfield primary school i will be upset in one way and happy in the other, because the bad thing about it is that when you go to high school, you dont know if you will ever see your friends again!!
The good thing about it is that, you will be able to move on and get some new friends at your next school!!

A fantastic website!! I used to go to Westfield School from 1982-1989 and still live around the corner!! 4 out of my 5 nieces and nephews go there and love it. I am now a teacher myself in Hanham thanks to the great teaching of the teahers at Westfield, only Mr Evans left there now from my days!!

Mr Evans please can you ask Miss Samuel for some of year 3 work to put on the website, maybe our visit to the Roman Baths?

hello to everyone at westfield, havent been there in such a long time, went there from 1999 - 2005 best years ever :) last time i went it had changed so much and i got lost haha, not many teachers left now from when i went to the school, glad to see all the sports is going well. if your in year 6 and think your getting alot of homework, well wait until you go to secondary school your have loads more to do, and wish you were back at westfield. Anyone who reads this _ WESTFIELD IS THE BEST SCHOOL EVER_ id reccomend it to anyone, anyways bye for now have a great time (:

westfield rocks because we do loads of sport. im in norton hill now but still come back to westfield sometimes cuz it rocks. hey to mrs. trim, miss maggs, mrs. hurley, mrs.davidson, mrs.gardner and mr evans rocks!!!!

I used to go to westfield primary back in the day of Mr Baldwin and Mr Harries. Westfield is an amazing school and the teachers were very helpful and considerate. I would recommened westfield to anybody, as it is simply fab!

I attended your school in the mid 1950's. I remember ?Miss Cole and also a ?Mrs Brimble? We used to cross over the Fosseway main road to another tin building for other lessons but cannot remember which ones. In the summer months when the weather was good we were allowed to play on the grass at St. Peter's Church next door. Is there a group photo for around 1958 time - would be very pleased for a copy if so.

Hi i am in year 8 now. i like to say hi to miss maggs my year 5,6 teacher, Mrs baker and all the help i had in year six, also my favouite teacher ever at westfield primary school was Mr Evans, he is a legend. Hello Westfield!
I came to school here way back in the early 1970's, i was exploring my old hometown area on Google Earth and found the school. I've had a look at some of the 70's photos but cant recognise anyone i was at school with. At the time i was there the Head was Mrs Lynes and i remember teachers Mrs Webb, Mrs Cobb and Mr Fry, it was quite funny to see them in the old photos on the site! I left in 1975 when i moved to Wales with my family. If anyone sees this that went to school with me please get in touch. Thanks!

this year i am going in year 6 and i am really scared about my sats and i will miss having mr. chorley because we had really cool lessons and he made them alot of fun and i hope the year 4 has a fun year with mr.chorley and i hope we all have a great year next year when we are all in diffrent class rooms with a diffrent teacher
